Our history
A Thai Buddhist home in Brisbane
Wat Thai Buddharam was established to provide a place of Buddhist practice and a cultural home for Brisbane's Thai community. The temple began in the late 1980s and later moved to its current Forestdale site on Paradise Road.
Over the years, the temple has grown through the work of its monastic community, volunteers and supporters. It hosts religious observances, cultural festivals, education and community activities.
The preserved gallery records ceremonies and gatherings from the temple's earlier website.
